What to buy

The “Give a hive” experience at Finca Lady Marso consists of monitoring, for one year, a personalized hive with the name chosen by the buyer: videos of its evolution and the life of the hive, a welcome box and honey from the farm when there is a harvest. Ownership of the hive or the bees is not acquired.

What is not bought

There is no physical hive or any equipment for sale. The hive is and remains the property of Finca Lady Marso and is part of its apiary in Alòs de Balaguer.

Options and price

Young hive: €95. Adult hive: €145. Both include the same one-year experience; change the starting point (a beginning colony or an already established hive).

The honey

Honey is part of the cycle, not its end, and can arrive at different times depending on flowering, climate and the evolution of the apiary. Reference quantities: 1 to 3 kg in the young hive and 2 to 4 kg in the adult hive, when there is a harvest. Honey comes with the season: what is contracted outside of spring delivers its first honey the following year.

Origin of honey

We ensure that the honey is from your hive. If not enough of it can be extracted, it is mixed with that of the apiary's hives, from the same area and quality. Only due to force majeure (illness, theft, catastrophic year), if there was no honey from the farm, honey from other producers in the area would be sent, always identified as such.

Videos and bee well-being

The experience consists of monitoring, for a year, a personalized hive with a name: a welcome video, videos of its evolution and the apiary, and general videos about the life of a hive. You are notified of each new video by email and all are available on YouTube to watch again. Occasionally they are carried out directly from the apiary, subject to availability of coverage. Videos, live shows, harvests and any activity may vary for climatic, health, technical or safety reasons. The well-being of the bees is a priority: a colony is never forced to achieve a certain amount of honey.

Visits

The experience is followed remotely. There are no guided or contracted tours to the apiary. It is possible to arrange the collection of honey and get to know the surroundings of the farm in a non-guided way.

How the gift works

Whoever gives the gift receives a welcome box with the certificate and a gift to deliver it. The welcome video is delivered via a link included in the box. Whoever receives the gift provides their address via WhatsApp or email for the honey to be sent.

Withdrawal

In distance sales there is a 14-day right of withdrawal according to consumer regulations, with the exceptions applicable to personalized products and services whose execution has begun with the consumer's consent. [Pending final drafting with legal advice.]

Personal data and taxation

The data of the buyer and, where applicable, the recipient are processed solely to manage the experience, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. The VAT and the applicable tax regime will be reviewed with advice.

If a colony is lost

Hives are living beings and can become sick, weak or lost. If the colony associated with the experience is lost during the year, it is not cancelled: the nuc is replaced when technically possible - the same year if the season allows it or, failing that, the following year, given that dividing hives or obtaining nucs is not possible at any time - and monitoring continues with the new colony under the same name.
